Established in 1974 in the memory of Rajmata Jijau, the mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Jijamata Mahila Sahakari Bank has been a symbol of empowerment, progress, and commitment to society for more than 50 years. The bank was founded by Smt. Malatibai Shirole (MLA) and Shri Madhavrao Shirole (IRS – Indian Revenue Service) to financially uplift economically weaker and women-led sections of society.
Our Journey
♦ Initially, the share capital was collected from distant villages across Pune District.
♦ The bank was inaugurated by Honourable President Smt. Pratibhatai Patil.
♦ Over the years, the bank shifted from Shaniwar Peth to Savarkar Bhavan, Shivajinagar,
and now operates from its own premises at Tilak Road, Pune.
♦ Currently, we operate with 1 Head Office and 14 branches, serving both urban and rural
locations across multiple sectors.
